Blues Defeat A Tired D12 Squad Print E-mail

Last night the Blues faced a tired D12 squad who had just played the game before in the Masterís division. Although they did jump ahead early in the first period, fatigue became a factor and the YRB tore it up a notch.

Great offensive play came from all our forwards but much credit goes to the YRB defense for doing a fantastic job on moving the ball out and making clutch passes. Although Marco Zompanti was pointless on this night, his stellar play got him his first star of the season.

With the team allowing 120 shots on net, Anthony Moro continues to shut the door allowing 8 goals against and leads the league with a .933 save percentage. His best season as a Blue by far.

On the flipside, Roger DiSchiavo seemed to find his scoring touch again and is now just one goal short to tie Blues veteran Corinto Iampieri with 132.

The Blues will now close off the season with 3 games in 5 nights and will have to  face the two teams that they have lost to earlier in the season. With the team jelling nicely together I believe we can get this done.  Letís play smart, continue to stay out of the box, score goals and help each other out and together weíll get her done

Go Blues Go!!!
